The love story of Petal Lisa Morgans marriage to Graeme Morgan was first published by Hello magazine. They described it as a True Love Story. After Hello Magazine Published petals wedding photographs other Magazines and Newspapers picked up their story and they began to recieve requests to appear on television shows. They were reluctant at first to accept these offers suspecting that any TV Shows that they appeared on might be fixed but when they recieved a request from the Esther Rantzen show they agreed to discuss their marriage.
The Esther Rantzen Show was a great adventure for them both and not at all as they had feared. After their appearance on Esther they agreed to appear on The Kirsty Show for Scottish TV this was a bit more aggressive but neither Graeme or Lisa were shy about speaking out. Following these two Televised appearances. Graeme and Lisa and Christina appeared together on many other shows for Carlton TV and other broadcasters including The Vanessa Phelps show but that was a set up and that programme was never broadcast after it was seen that the person asking most of the questions in the studio audience was in fact the programmes producer.
It was fun for them all at the time seeing themselves on the front cover of the TV Times and seeing themselves on TV their appearances on television generated lots more requests from womens magazines and national newspapers the story of their love and their relationship with Lisa,s mother was told in The Sun Newspaper, The Daily Mirror, The Mail on Sunday, Night and Day, The Sunday People, The News of the World, pick me Up magazine, Woman, Bella Magazine, and many others and they also did several Radio programmes together for the BBC none of these told the real story of Petal. Most of them were aware of it but chose to ignore which was extremely nice of them considering some of the things that they could have published about Petal and Graeme. None of the newspapers or magazines mentioned the original story in the Sunday Sport and none of them critised Graeme and Lisa,s relationship
Our new book Petal tells it all none of us were ever saints except probably Lisa whose only crime was to fall in love but you would be wrong to assume that Petal is just a love story because it is not. Petal is much more than that. Our book really does show what a tortured and difficult life we had and the problems we had to face. We sold stories to the press and published our own monthly Videomagazine some people thought we were good, some thought we were bad the truth was we were just surviving. Whatever you think of us you will agree that our story Petal is a different kind of True Story!
